Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit. You will perform vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while considering varied patient needs and following established care plans.

Basic requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of CNA program and exam, and Maryland CNA license with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a CNA program and CNA exam.
• Maryland CNA license required and active on Maryland Registry.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow the care plan as established by the RN.
• Identify safety issues and report equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in education programs, meetings and professional initiatives.
