Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of a CNA program and CNA exam is required.
• Maryland CNA license is required.
• Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by Maryland and listed on the Maryland Registry.
• Active BLS certification required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Physical ability to lift, bend and turn.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow the care plan established by the RN.
• Receive shift reports from the RN.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and safety practices.
• Participate in education programs, meetings and professional initiatives.
• Maintain a professional image and assist with patient care delivery.
