Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med Surg Department. You will assist with vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision, following care plans, and participating in ongoing education.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and compassionate patient care. Requirements include a Maryland CNA license, BLS, a high school diploma or GED, and CNA program completion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful CNA program completion and CNA exam pass required.
• Maryland CNA license and registry active.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic arithmetic, computer skills, and English proficiency necessary.
• Ability to lift, bend and turn; strong communication.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plans established by the Registered Nurse.
• Participate in education programs, meetings and professional initiatives.
• Maintain a culture of safety and proper equipment/space usage.
• Report malfunctions and ensure clean, stored work areas.
