Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Chief Engineer to oversee electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems in a data center.

You will manage preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and serve as the technical lead for onsite EOTs and vendors. Responsibilities include leading safety compliance, coordinating projects, and driving efficiency while communicating complex tech to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for all facilities-related issues across critical systems (switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, etc).
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshooting within SLA.
• Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and coordinate with the Facility Manager.
