Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is recruiting a Nursing School Critical Care Technician for the Clinical Decision Unit in Camden, NJ. This per diem night-shift role supports daily living activities, technical tasks, and patient monitoring, under RN supervision.

The position requires an active nursing student, 0-2 years of experience, and completion of foundational nursing coursework with clinicals. BLS and on-site orientation are provided; pay is disclosed as hourly with a range.

Qualifications

0-2 years' experience required.
Complete phlebotomy and EKG training if not part of Fundamentals of Nursing course, within 90 days of hire.
Successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course with clinical in an accredited nursing program and active enrollment in nursing school.
Field of Study: Registered Nursing

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport) and follow standard precautions.
Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and assist in orienting new hires.
Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the required due date.
Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe environment and high-quality care.
Demonstrate effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
Capacity to identify and communicate changes in patient status.
