Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ, is seeking a Clinical Care Tech to assist patients under RN supervision in the CDU/EXAU units. The role focuses on activities of daily living and direct patient support.

The position requires High School/GED and PCA certification, with BLS. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, high-quality care in a 35-bed CDU and 6-bed EXAU with telemetry.

Full-time night shifts, 7pm–7:30am, with weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience required.
• High School/GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and an active PCA certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required
• Successful completion of CPCT-A or equivalent certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support patients’ activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport) and follow standard precautions.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care and document appropriately.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately, maintaining safe patient practices.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives, performance improvement activities, and assist in orienting new hires.
• Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the required due date.
• Consistently adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe environment and high-quality patient care.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, visitors
