Performance Foodservice in Columbus, OH is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers between operating facilities and shuttle yards, and to turn around and deliver full trailers to domiciles.

The role requires driving a tandem/tractor/straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to DOT regulations, performing safety checks, maintaining logs, and communicating professionally with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years of age and meet licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years required.
• 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights, may vary.
• Pre-employment drug test and road test pass required.
• Valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections per DOT rules.
• Report safety issues or needed repairs promptly.
• Follow DOT regs and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailer loading and securing of freight.
• Maintain route paperwork for dispatch readiness.
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures and secure equipment.
• Park and store tractors/trailers correctly.
• Secure damaged goods and return paperwork to base.
• Unload freight and keep trailers clean and organized.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs as required.
• Assist with other duties to support operations.

Skills

12 months of commercial driving

Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement

DOT regulations knowledge

Ability to lift 60–90 lbs

3rd shift availability
