Job summary

Performance Foodservice is hiring a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will drive tandem, tractor-trailer, or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring safe, timely deliveries in compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires a CDL A with doubles endorsement, 6+ months driving experience, and the ability to lift 60–90 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience required.
• CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card current or ability to secure one.
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds and handle equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on tractor/trailer and follow DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; secure freight.
• Maintain route paperwork and drive according to schedule.
• Hook/unhook and park trailers; keep equipment secure.
• Complete daily hours-of-service records and keep areas clean.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
