Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards.

The role includes pre/post trip inspections, maintaining logs, and working a 3rd shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 months of commercial driving experience is required.
• 3rd shift schedule; Sunday–Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer as per DOT regulations.
• Inspect and ensure trailer is properly loaded and secured.
• Deliver trailers according to the route schedule and complete required paperwork.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures and park/secure equipment at designated areas.
• Complete daily hours of service log and adhere to DOT, state, and company policies.
