Job summary

Akumin is seeking dependable CDL Class A truck drivers to deliver mobile medical imaging equipment to hospitals and clinics in Sacramento, CA. You will drive tractors with automatic transmissions, set up and tear down equipment at sites, and ensure safe, timely deliveries for MRI/CT mobile units.

Training is provided to learn routes and setup procedures. Night shifts start in the afternoon and run 8–10 hours, 4-5 nights per week, with weekends sometimes included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid CDL-A and DOT medical certification.
• Ability to set up medical equipment at delivery sites.
• Clean DOT driving record.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractors with automatic transmission and 1–2 years’ experience preferred.
• Ensure trailers are securely connected to tractor.
• Set up medical equipment at destination.
• We will train on medical equipment specifics.
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.
• Always make safety a priority.
• Monitor, report or repair any mechanical or safety issue.
• May perform QA checks on equipment after arrival at site.
