Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Intermediate Care Unit (Nights) in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role requires weekend coverage on a rotating basis and orientation the first week. You will assist with basic patient care, vital signs, and documentation, reporting to RN/LPN staff.

The pay range is hourly, with benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and CNA certification exam.
• EMT or paramedic training may be required or helpful.
• Enrollment in an accredited nursing program with major clinical rotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care needs under RN/LPN supervision.
• Support patient mobility and comfort using proper body mechanics.
• Take vital signs, input/output, and accu-checks; report abnormalities.
• Perform routine procedures as directed (EKG, Foley care, etc.).
• Collect specimens and document care in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and transport as needed.
• Answer unit phones and direct calls appropriately.

Education
