Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a Blown Film Operator I for the night shift in Elk Grove Village, IL. The role involves setting up and operating blown film extrusion lines, monitoring processes, and performing quality checks to ensure product specifications.

You will work with resin materials, perform measurements, and adjust equipment to maintain product quality and production efficiency. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with safety and GMP compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of blown film extrusion equipment and production processes preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience operating production machinery in manufacturing environment.
• Comfort using measuring instruments and performing quality inspections.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate blown film extrusion lines to produce film meeting specifications.
• Install/change screens, adjust dies, and manage trim scrap systems and related equipment.
• Set up and monitor raw material feeding systems.
• Visually inspect film and verify dimensions using micrometers and tools.
• Perform equipment adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Conduct quality checks on intermediate products (capacity, COF, gauge, width).
• Maintain records of material usage and production activities.
• Ensure finished materials meet quality standards and handle materials properly.
• Support line startups, changeovers, and equipment setup activities.
• Follow GMPs, PRPs, and SOPs; adhere to food safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and report safety concerns.
