TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a Slitter Operator I for the nights shift in Elk Grove Village, IL. This role operates slitting and roll handling equipment, ensuring customer specs are met with high safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

The position requires reading gauges, basic data entry, and teamwork to maintain production flow. Willingness to learn overhead hoist systems and use pallet wrapping equipment is valued. Retention bonus is offered as part of long-term commitment.

Qualifications

• English reading/writing and verbal communication required.
• Basic data entry and computer skills expected.
• Able to read rulers and perform basic measurements.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate core cutting and roll wrapping equipment.
• Cut cores to required sizes and ensure proper supply for slitting jobs.
• Weigh, label, and wrap finished rolls per job specifications.
• Palletize finished rolls and move them to the finished goods area.
• Perform quality checks before and after production runs.
• Review customer specifications and ensure compliance.
• Conduct final inspections of finished rolls.
• Follow GMPs, SOPs, 5S, and DTM procedures.
• Perform data entry in Shop Floor and Quality systems.
• Communicate machine status and job details during shift changes.
• Assist with preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Issue work orders for equipment or repair needs.
• Report safety concerns, incidents, and quality issues immediately.
