Job summary

RRD is seeking a 3rd shift Bindery Operator in Wisconsin to set up, operate, and monitor a range of binding and finishing machines. You will lead a crew during the 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM shift, ensuring accurate production of books, catalogs, and printed materials while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires interpreting work orders, operating complex bindery lines, and coordinating multiple stations for efficient output.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret written work orders or specifications.
• Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits for machines.
• Skill in using standard and specialized tools to adjust bindery machines.
• Knowledge of various bindery machines and finishing processes.
• Ability to set up and adjust machines for finishing operations and ensure quality.
• Understanding of paper stock types and finish requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate bindery equipment and finishing units.
• Direct crew through production steps and maintain productivity.
• Monitor quality, output and efficiency.
• Inspect equipment for safety and maintain operational readiness.
