Job summary

RR Donnelley seeks a bindery technician to set up and operate a range of binding machines, inspect equipment for safety, and monitor output. You will adjust multi-station bindery systems, ensure quality, and lead a crew through production cycles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience.
• Ability to stand long periods, repetitive motion, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Thorough knowledge of bindery equipment setup and adjustments.
• Knowledge of paper weights, sizes, colors and related conditions.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust bindery machines.
• Experience operating folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret written work to sequence machine operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines
• Inspect equipment for safety issues
• May operate perfect binders with multiple stations and automated processes
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on one machine
• Direct crew through all aspects of production
• Monitor quality, output and productivity
