Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking an experienced Bindery Operator to join its production team. The role focuses on setting up and operating a range of bindery equipment to produce final books, catalogs, and magazines with emphasis on accuracy and throughput.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret written work orders or job specifications with bindery requirements.
• Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits for combining machines.
• Knowledge of operating requirements and limitations of bindery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate various bindery machines including cutting heads and feeders.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and ensure quality, output and productivity.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production and coordinate multiple work stations.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple stations on a single machine.
• Ensure finishing products meet dimensional and stock quality standards.
