Job summary

Poppy Bank is seeking a Night Auditor to oversee overnight front desk operations and ensure accurate nightly financial transactions. This role combines guest service with accounting duties to maintain smooth hotel operations during the night.

The position requires a high school diploma and may prefer prior hotel front desk or accounting experience, along with knowledge of hotel PMS and strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills. MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous hotel front desk, customer service, or accounting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel property management systems preferred.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries.
• Provide guest service and resolve concerns professionally.
• Perform nightly audit procedures to balance and reconcile daily transactions.
• Verify guest accounts, room charges, payments, and revenue postings.
• Prepare daily financial reports and distribute to management.
• Process credit card and other payment transactions accurately.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments as needed.
• Answer calls and handle reservations when required.
