Job summary

Hyatt Place Chicago/Itasca is seeking a friendly Gallery Host to ensure guest satisfaction through check-in, check-out and coordinated hotel services. You will promote hotel amenities, provide information on events and offer premium guest experiences at the Gallery Host Stand, Guest Kitchen and e-room.

The ideal candidate will have a year of hotel or customer service experience, strong communication skills, and proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe).

Qualifications

• One year of hotel, customer service and/or sales experience.
• Exemplary customer service/sales track record in other fields welcome.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and leadership abilities.
• Proficient computer skills incl. Word, Excel, Adobe and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Register guests into the hotel promptly and with upselling to maximize room rates.
• Greet, register and assign rooms; handle group check-ins/outs and VIP arrivals.
• Answer phone in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner.
• Oversee Gallery Host Stand, Guest Kitchen and e-room, and service meeting rooms.
• Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints and ensure 100% satisfaction.
