Job summary

Hyatt Place Detroit / Royal Oak seeks a friendly Gallery Host to deliver high-quality guest service in a fast-paced hotel setting. Responsibilities include operating the Gallery Host Stand, Guest Kitchen, e-room and TV den, and assisting with guest check-in/check-out while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Ideal candidates will have prior hospitality or guest-service experience, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel or related field.
• Must have schedule availability for Friday and Saturday nights (11pm to 7am).
• Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with guest interaction.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs).
• Must possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide an outstanding guest experience at the Gallery Host Stand, Guest Kitchen, e-room and TV den.
• Handle guest check-in and check-out with efficiency and warmth.
• Assist with servicing of meeting rooms and maintaining a clean, inviting environment.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members to meet high service standards.
