Job summary

Arbor Lodging is seeking a Night Auditor to manage overnight audit processes and related accounting tasks in Indianapolis. The role includes daily revenue reporting, accounts payable review, and final statements for the next day’s checkouts.

You may assist with late-night guest check-ins and fulfilling guest requests. Ideal candidates have front desk hotel experience, strong cash handling skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year of hotel front desk experience.
• Understand basic principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
• Know how to operate front office equipment.
• Experience handling cash, accounting procedures, and general administrative tasks.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Check front office accounting records for accuracy and summarize information for the hotel's financial records.
• Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.
• Prepare a daily summary of cash, checks, and credit card activities reflecting performance.
• Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts; ensure proper posting to folios.
• Verify that all charges are posted to the correct departments and accounts.
• Process guest charges vouchers and credit card vouchers; transfer charges to master accounts.
• Balance the day’s charges and correct discrepancies as needed.
• Handle check-ins/check-outs and wake-up calls; respond to guest requests.
