Job summary

Spruce Peak Resort in Stowe, Vermont, is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to provide friendly, accurate overnight registration and information to guests and colleagues. You will balance accounts, perform overnight audit, and maintain knowledge of resort amenities and events.

This role requires strong communication, time management, and multi-tasking skills. A high school diploma is required; hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• College degree is preferred.
• Prior hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greets guests and checks them in/out with accuracy.
• Balance lodge accounts and perform overnight audit.
• Maintain knowledge of lodge amenities and events.
• Take guest room and restaurant reservations as needed.
• Handle cash, checks and credit transactions per policy.
• Respond to guest questions and direction requests.

The Night Auditor is to provide friendly, efficient registration and information to all guests, fellow employees, and visitors during the overnight shift. In addition, provides sincere service through actions that display self-confidence, grace and courtesy to guests and colleagues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Warmly greets guests.
• Checks guest in and out, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted / fulfilled and accurate information is established and proper payment is received.
• Thoroughly completes all guest transactions ensuring all bills are up-to-date and balanced. Performs overnight audit.
• Balances lodge accounts, credit card batches and interfaces on a nightly basis.
• Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all lodge and resort amenities as well as any special events.
• Takes guest room reservations when needed and makes restaurant reservations as requested for internal and external guests.
• Maintains house bank and handles all checks and cash according to Resort policies and procedures.
• Follows set procedures on posting charges, credit cards, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
• Answers the telephone in a professional manner and assists guests with any questions, directions to the property, etc.
• Addresses all guest feedback with the utmost confidence, grace and concern for their satisfaction.
• Is able to communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
• Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Technical proficiency (basic computer applications).

• Strong organizational and time management discipline.
• Understanding of hospitality operating systems.
