Job Summary: We are seeking a Night Auditor - Part Time to prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities reflecting the hotel’s daily financial totals. Responsibilities include posting room charges and taxes to guest accounts, including any additional guest transactions. The role requires maintaining files, resetting systems for next-day operations, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and register guests upon arrival, verifying reservation information
• Respond to guest needs, requests, and complaints; communicate guest needs to the next shift
• Verify charges (room rates, discounts, etc.) are assigned correctly
• Print and file reservations for the next day
• Prepare daily reports as required by management
• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
• Perform End of Day procedures
• Balance the day’s charges and make corrections as needed
• Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the computer to generate reports
• Balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset systems
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Other:

Attendance is essential; irregular attendance may lead to disciplinary action. Employees may be required to work varying schedules and holidays based on hotel needs.

All employees must comply with hotel rules and regulations. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including termination.

Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience and training providing necessary skills and knowledge.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Indoor environment, standing for long periods, walking, talking, seeing, hearing, reaching, bending, grasping, repetitive hand motions, night shifts, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Grooming:

Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance to reflect the hotel’s standards and provide excellent guest service.
