Night Auditor

Position Purpose:

The Night Auditor balances all daily work for the hotel, posts and balances charges promptly, greets and registers guests with courteous service, resolves guest challenges, upgrades guests when needed, and promotes hotel services and amenities, including upselling products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Average Percent of Time

  • 35% Post and balance all hotel work for each day.
  • 30% Prepare restaurant audits to breakdown and balance restaurant figures.
  • 15% Handle all computer end-of-day issues and reconcile credit card transactions.
  • 15% Complete the guest registration process, input and retrieve information, confirm details, assign rooms, and promote hotel marketing programs. Ensure guests are familiar with their room location and assist with luggage if needed. Provide welcome packets and amenities to guests.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

This position may require performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, depending on the company's needs.
