Job Description Summary

The Night Auditor (NA) is responsible for accurately balancing all hotel income and expenses for each 24-hour hotel operating period. The NA also acts as a Guest Service Agent for the overnight front desk shift. The NA's duties include balancing revenue, assisting with guest services, acting as a liaison for hotel systems, and performing administrative tasks to support hotel operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

1. Delivering Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Balancing and auditing revenue from rooms, food and beverage, and telephone services.
3. Preparing and transmitting daily revenue reports.
4. Assisting with breakfast setup and hotel laundry.
5. Registering guests, issuing keys, and providing hotel information.
6. Processing transactions accurately and securing cash and credit card payments.
7. Handling reservations, cancellations, and up-selling rooms.
8. Promoting teamwork and quality service.
9. Ensuring guest requests are fulfilled and services properly delivered.
10. Performing security duties and complying with health and safety laws.
11. Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS include:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous hotel experience preferred.
3. Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently; other languages beneficial.
4. Good communication and mathematical skills.
5. Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
6. Valid driver’s license.
7. Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
8. Ability to obtain ServSafe and possibly TIPS certifications.
