Job summary

DoubleTree by the Galleria in Houston is seeking an outgoing, self-motivated Night Auditor who excels in guest service. This role balances room, restaurant and bar revenues, posts and reconciles charges, and prepares overnight operations for a smooth start to the next day.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of hotel night audit or front desk experience, strong math and English communication skills, and a proven ability to handle guest issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hotel night audit or front desk experience.
• Able to work overnight shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Basic math skills for financial reconciliations.
• Previous direct customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Balance room, restaurant and bar revenues; post and balance charges and settlements; reset systems for next day operations.
• Prepare daily restaurant revenue report data by auditing POS tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, tips, and settlements by type and cashier.
• Run audit reports and input revenue/expenses/allowances to generate daily reports.
• Resolve guest-related issues and complaints.
• Manage overnight front desk operations and coordinate with hotel security to maintain safety.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• At least one (1) year of previous hotel night audit or hotel front desk experience.
