The Night Auditor is responsible for assisting guests at check-in and check-out, answering and processing phone calls, and handling all special requests for services or information in accordance with brand and Gulf Coast standards, policies, and procedures.
Reports to: General Manager and Senior Guest Services Representative
Job Description
- Assist guests and meet hotel needs that arise in the absence of the GM and/or AGM.
- Ensure that all service provided is consistently prompt and courteous, designed to meet high standards of quality, resulting in guest satisfaction and repeat business.
- Greet after-hours guests, assist with check-ins and check-outs, register and assign rooms, issue room keys/cards, explain room features, transmit and receive messages, keep records of occupied rooms and guest accounts, make change for guests, make and confirm reservations, compute bills, present statements, and collect payments from departing guests.
- Conduct physical inspections of the property.
- Respond to any problems or issues that occur after normal business hours, clock in and out for all calls and work performed.
- Stay informed about hotel policies concerning room/sign rates, discounts, and special offerings.
- Maintain proficiency in all computer and software systems used at the location.
- Provide guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, room features, services, hours of operation, and local attractions.
- Record guest comments or complaints, referring guests to GM as necessary.
- Know property emergency procedures and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining common areas within the hotel to brand and Gulf Coast standards.
- Work in the laundry area, loading/unloading washers and dryers and folding items.
- Report major repairs to GM or Maintenance Support.
- Ensure the security needs of the property and guests are met.
- Wear appropriate attire per the dress code.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Bend, kneel, crouch frequently.
- Perform repetitive movements and work in various environmental conditions.
Experience And Requirements
- 1 year hospitality experience preferred.
- Work authorization required.
- Pre-employment drug screening required.
- Flexible schedule; evenings, weekends, holidays may be required.
