Job summary

Peachtree Group is seeking a Night Auditor to perform nightly audit functions at the hotel’s front desk while delivering exceptional guest service. You will assist guests with check-ins and check-outs, process reservations, respond to inquiries, and ensure a high level of service throughout the overnight shift.

The role emphasizes proactive security, accurate cash handling, cross-department communication, and maintaining lobby cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Proactive thinking, keeping guest security in mind and creating a safe, friendly environment.
• Count cash and maintain accuracy of cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Communicate information to the next shift for a smooth transition.
• Work with all hotel departments to ensure high-quality customer service.
• Answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
• Explain in-room and hotel features.
• Complete all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

The Night Auditor is responsible for completing all nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk. While performing audit duties, the Night Auditor also assists guests with check-ins and check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to guest inquiries, ensuring a high level of service throughout the overnight shift.

• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
