Job summary

Peachtree Group Hospitality Management is seeking a Night Auditor to complete nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel front desk. The role also assists guests with check-ins/check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to inquiries during the overnight shift.

Responsibilities include cash handling, door and lobby checks, room assignments, registrations, folios, and nightly reports.

• Proactively ensure guest security and maintain a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
• Count cash and ensure accuracy of the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems or special requests.
• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure high-quality service.
• Answer inquiries about hotel services, registrations, and directions; explain in-room and hotel features.
• Complete all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

The Night Auditor is responsible for completing all nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk. While performing audit duties, the Night Auditor also assists guests with check-ins and check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to guest inquiries, ensuring a high level of service throughout the overnight shift.

• Proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
• Responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
• Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
• Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork, and night audit reports daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
