Job description

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Review all guaranteed arrivals and verify that all credit cards are valid by running numbers to ensure they are not already in house.
  2. Ensure that rooms (day use) are listed as dirty in the computer to facilitate housekeeping.
  3. Explain and provide promotional items to each guest checking in.
  4. Explain hotel amenities such as free breakfast, spa, fitness center, voicemail, etc., to guests.
  5. Document new commercial customers checking in for potential account setup.
  6. Inquire about blocked rooms and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues.
  7. Ensure rollaway beds and cribs are correctly positioned as shown on the computer.
  8. Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints and offer alternatives if demands cannot be met.
  9. Perform other hotel duties as needed.
  10. Document guest accidents by completing the accident report form.
  11. Complete the maintenance log for reported complaints.
  12. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all front desk areas.
  13. Greet guests warmly and proactively.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Experience with cash handling, credit card procedures, and math concepts.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel layout, amenities, procedures, and organization.
  • Knowledge of local area including major highways, businesses, community events, and attractions.
