Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to process nightly revenue audits and maintain daily transaction records for multiple departments. You will post taxes, balance postings, and ensure accurate credit card and cash handling while supporting continuous reporting.

The role requires hotel/resort experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Hotel/resort or office experience required.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.
• Calculator skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve daily postings from staff who entered financial transactions.
• Run reports reflecting room status and revenue to verify figures.
• Post room tax and fees to occupied rooms nightly.
• Balance and record postings for each outlet of the Resort.
• Process and submit for payment all credit card transactions.
• Record cash, check, gift card and credit card transactions.
• Field calls from guests and employees and direct to proper departments.
• Cross train in other accounting areas to assist colleagues.
• Maintain accounting deadlines and monitor completion.
• Assist in daily, weekly and monthly reports for Resort departments.
• Provide strong support in day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
• Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with difficult conversations.
