Job summary

Ivy Hospitality in Vandalia, IA is seeking a Night Auditor to oversee nightly front desk operations, reconcile the day's financial activity, and ensure accurate reports for the next day's operations.

You will handle guest services, respond to inquiries, process payments, and assist with transportation and guest safety while maintaining SOP compliance and using the PMS and electronic key systems to deliver a positive overnight experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in accounting or front office position preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of hotel services and local attractions.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Ability to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day with walking/standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Check-in/check-out and reservation handling.
• Reconcile daily front desk accounting processes.
• Run the trial balance to post rooms and close the day, and prepare next-day reports.
• Provide guest service and handle inquiries and complaints.
• Handle financial transactions and maintain a house bank.
• Issue and control access to safety deposit boxes and post charges.
• Respond to guest complaints efficiently and courteously.
• Answer phones and manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs.
• Operate transportation arrangements as needed.
• Assist guests with luggage and local area information.
• Manage messages, wake-up calls, mail and faxes; ensure timely service.
• Follow SOPs and use PMS and Electronic Key Equipment.
