Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group is seeking a Night Audit team member for our Front Desk department in Billings, MT. The role combines guest service, front desk operations, and nightly financial reconciliation, working largely independently during overnight hours.

You will balance daily transactions, prepare reports, handle late-night guest needs, and set the property up for a successful day, while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of guest information.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel front desk or night audit roles is preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting or cash handling principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently overnight and handle guest inquiries professionally.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, word processing).
• Willingness to work scheduled overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform nightly audit processes, balancing and reconciling daily transactions.
• Verify room rates, adjustments, discounts, and postings for accuracy.
• Run end-of-day and night audit reports for management and operations.
• Monitor daily revenue, occupancy, and key metrics for discrepancies.
• Handle late check-ins, guest requests, and inquiries with courtesy.
• Process guest payments and maintain records in the PMS.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security as needed.
• Complete nightly checklists before morning turnover.
• Adhere to cash-handling procedures and secure deposits.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and company assets.
