Kinseth Hotel Corporation in Omaha is seeking a Front Desk Associate to provide courteous guest services, register guests, issue keys and handle reservations. The role involves night audit support, maintaining lobby standards, and ensuring guest safety through established procedures.

Primary duties include processing payments, balancing accounts, and facilitating guest requests while coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, suggests selling hotel rooms, issues room keys, assigns rooms and sets wake up calls in a warm, efficient manner.
• Acts as hotel manager on duty and follows MOD procedures for communication, emergencies and guest satisfaction.
• Enters daily changes and balances accounts such as guest, house, guest tray, city ledger and advance deposits; resets system for the next business day.
• Ensures that night audit procedures are completed daily and information entered, posted accurately and on time.
• Enters information and prints night audit reports per night audit guidelines.
• Ensures guest safety by following established security procedures including fire/tornado procedures, key security and guest privacy.
• Date stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail, faxes and messages.
• Records and communicates guest special requests and problems to appropriate department and ensures timely resolution.
• Answers inquiries about hotel services, registration of guests, and local attractions; provides travel directions.
• Accurately checks out guests and communicates departures with housekeeping staff.
• Accurately computes bills, collects payments, makes change and deposits according to cash handling procedures.
• Makes, confirms and cancels reservations via telephone, computer and in writing.
• Answers and routes internal and external phone calls in a friendly, articulate manner using prescribed procedures.
• Posts charges to ledger for hotel room, food, liquor, or telephone services.
• Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe deposit box.
• Maintains shift-to-shift log to ensure proper communication between shifts.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the hotel lobby and front desk area.
• Washes, folds and stores laundry as required by the unit.
