Job summary

White Lodging Services, Inc. in Nashville is seeking a Night Auditor to join our hotel front desk and accounting team.

This part-time overnight role requires focus and accuracy to balance hotel transactions, run nightly audit reports, and deliver exceptional guest service while the world sleeps. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong communication, capable of handling cash, credit card reconciliation, and sensitive guest information.

Qualifications

• Past front desk, night auditor, or hospitality experience preferred but not required; training provided.
• Strong communication and guest-service mindset during overnight hours.
• Excellent attention to balance reports, folios, and nightly cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests during overnight hours, including check-in/check-out and special requests.
• Balance hotel and restaurant transactions at close of business, perform nightly audit, and prepare summaries for management.
• Follow hospitality procedures and protect guest data and confidentiality.
• Explain standard hotel reports and guest folios clearly; act as on-site authority during overnight shifts.
• Respond to guest concerns professionally and resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for hotel guests during overnight hours — assisting guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally with all front desk functions including check-in, check-out, and special requests
• Balance all hotel and restaurant transactions at the close of each business day — including credit card reconciliation, cash handling, and change fund management as part of the nightly hotel audit process
• Consistently follow all hotel credit, cash-handling, and accounting procedures in accordance with White Lodging standards and brand compliance requirements
• Run nightly audit reports, record all hotel revenues and statistics accurately, and prepare end-of-night financial summaries for hotel management review
• Read, analyze, interpret, and clearly explain standard hotel reports, guest folios, and emergency procedures — serving as the on-site point of authority during overnight hours
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of all guest information and hotel data throughout every overnight shift
• Effectively respond to and resolve guest concerns and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Previous hotel front desk, night auditor, or hospitality experience preferred — not required; we will train the right candidate with the right attitude and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service during overnight hotel hours
• Sharp attention to detail and accuracy — you take pride in balanced reports, error-free folios, and a clean audit every night
• An outgoing, positive personality with the flexibility and composure to adapt to any guest situation that arises during an overnight shift
• A collaborative mindset and genuine desire to contribute to the hotel front desk team — even when working independently through the night
• Physical ability to stand and move at a fast pace for extended periods; full availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as a 24-hour hotel operation requires

Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour! This role is PART-TIME status only!
