Job summary

Seacrest Behavioral Health in Illinois seeks experienced RNs to join the NICU Transition Program, a 16-week precepted training track in a Level III NICU delivering family-centered, single-room care.

The program provides mentorship from a NICU nurse preceptor, ongoing education, and career development within a supportive team.

Candidates must hold an Illinois RN license, BLS, NRP within six months, and have at least one year of inpatient RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN licensure, BLS, and NRP certification are required.
• Minimum of one year inpatient RN experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree must be completed within five years if starting with an associate degree.
• ADN or higher with BSN pathway for the program track.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care according to hospital policies and Illinois RN practice standards.
• Employ critical thinking to monitor patient progress, recognize changes, and document observations.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate within the healthcare team.
• Occasionally float to Peds, PICU, Mother Baby, and Special Care Nursery units.
