Job summary

Endeavor Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL offers a NICU Nurse Transition Program for experienced RNs transitioning to NICU care in a Level III unit. The role includes 16 weeks of precepted training with dedicated education time and a night shift schedule with weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualified candidates will hold an IL RN license, BLS (AHA), NRP within six months, and have at least 1 year of inpatient RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Nursing.
• If ADN is the highest degree, BSN must be completed within five years of start date.
• Current State of Illinois RN licensure.
• NRP certification within six months of start date.
• BLS through AHA within six months of start date.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with Illinois RN Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Assess patient condition, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to other staff and function as a team member to meet unit goals.
