Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX seeks a Special Care Nursery Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform a range of respiratory therapies, including ABG, PFTs, and ventilator support, for adults and neonates. The role requires NICU experience and active licensure, with direct supervision by the medical director.

Must hold a current NBRC registration and Texas license; BLS and ACLS are required, with NRP/PALS to be completed within a year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing and NBRC-registered.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy and airway management.
• Interpret ABG, PFTs, and CXR to inform treatment decisions.
• Prepare evaluation based on bedside assessment and chart review.
• Operate and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment and ensure infection control.
• Support patient care across NICU and adult populations as needed.
