Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory services in a hospital setting. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.

Qualifications include graduation from a CoARC-approved program, a current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. PALS is required for ER staff; ACLS is preferred for advanced roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS certification required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
