Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in respiratory therapy under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for medical and nursing staff.

Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. ACLS is preferred; PALS may be required in ER settings. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC.
• ACLS preferred; PALS required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
