Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health’s Jersey City Medical Center seeks a Neonatal ICU RN for night shifts (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), with every other weekend and rotating holidays. The NICU team emphasizes teamwork, evidence-based practice, and compassionate patient care in a high-acuity setting.

Applicants must hold NJ RN license with BLS/NRP and a BSN or be enrolled in a BSN program; NICU experience is preferred. EPIC EMR experience is a plus as is a commitment to professional growth and safety.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing with BLS and NRP.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or actively enrolled in BSN program with expected completion date.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care NICU setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with NICU multidisciplinary team to maintain standards of nursing practice.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with sound clinical judgment.
• Document accurately in the EMR and ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in rounds and contribute to care planning and handoffs.
• Educate patients and families to support informed decisions.
