Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced RN for our NICU department to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a faith-based system. The role emphasizes mentoring and adherence to ANA standards.

Requirements include Maryland RN license, active BLS, and 1 year of RN experience with ACLS/PALS/NRP as required. Night shifts are scheduled, with 24 hours per week and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license.
• Passing NCLEX is required for eligibility.
• Current Maryland State nursing license is required.
• Active BLS certification is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role model and support best practices in patient care.
• Adhere to ANA standards and Adventist HealthCare values.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
• Develop a care plan according to patient population and condition changes.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounds from patient and family perspectives.
• Identify opportunities for improvement based on evidence.
