Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN seeks a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Southdale Hospital. You’ll join a skilled team delivering life-saving newborn care in a family-centered environment and collaborating with physicians and families.

The Birthplace includes NICU, Family Care Center and Labor & Delivery, with opportunities for cross-training and professional growth. MN RN license and BLS are required, with 2–5 years NICU experience.

Qualifications

• MN RN license required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross).
• 2-5 years of NICU nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family and health team to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care.
• Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
• Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and outcomes.
• Communicates effectively with patient, family and health care team to promote partnership-based care.
• Advances care by utilizing standards, guidelines, and continuous improvement to enhance outcomes.
• Promotes a culture of evidence-based practice.
