Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Leadership Nurse to manage the NICU Small Baby and daily operations. You will partner with the Manager/Director to supervise staff, coordinate patient care, and drive quality and safety initiatives.

The role requires strong clinical leadership, budget awareness, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Requirements include a BSN, RN license, and BLS; NRP within 6 months.

Qualifications

• RN license required upon hire.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP training within 6 months of hire.
• MS/MA in nursing, healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• ANCC or AONL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage day-to-day or shift-to-shift operations to support the organization's mission and goals.
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate patient care activities including staffing, resources, quality and safety, regulatory compliance, and financial management.
• Prioritize assignments to ensure timely and efficient use of resources.
• Assist management with equipment and supply management within budget.
• Collaborate with nursing, provider leadership and stakeholders to implement and evaluate standards of practice.
• Collect and analyze quality data and use improvement methods to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
• Assist with department change and act as a change agent for system, procedure, and process changes.
• Demonstrate provision of patient care skills and abilities.
• Ensure unit protocols and hospital procedures are initiated appropriately.
• Support development and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with HR management to achieve high service quality and positive staff relations.
