Job summary
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking an RN Clinical Educator for its NICU to advance nursing education and staff competency. The educator will design and deliver educational experiences, aligning practice with safety and quality goals within the 108-bed Level IV NICU.
Role requires a Master’s or BSN, VA RN licensure or eligibility, and 2+ years NICU nursing experience with precepting. Full-time hours with weekday schedule; Inova offers comprehensive benefits and professional development
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or BSN and enrollment in a Master’s program on start.
- 2 years progressive nursing experience in NICU or designated specialty.
- 3 months of preceptorship experience.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association; licensed or eligible for licensure in Virginia as an RN.
Responsibilities
- Assesses competency of new nursing staff using system tools with a focus on patient safety and quality of care.
- Integrates theory, evidence-based practice and clinical expertise into educational experiences for staff.
- Prepares annual self-development plans and professional goals; pursues growth opportunities.
- Contributes to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
