Job summary

Inova Health seeks an RN Clinical Educator to support the Critical Care and Progressive Care teams. This full-time role involves systemwide oversight across multiple Inova campuses, focusing on education, clinical advancement and patient safety.

The position requires a Master’s degree or active enrollment in a Master’s program, along with NIH/VA licensure eligibility, BLS certification, and 2+ years in progressive nursing with preceptor experience.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required or enrolled in Master’s program as start condition.
• RN with BSN must be enrolled in Master's program and meet with Nurse Leader within 3 months.
• 2 years of progressive nursing experience in a designated specialty; 3 months of precepting experience.
• Current BLS certification and Virginia RN licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess the competency of new nursing staff using system strategies and tools.
• Integrate theory, evidence-based practice and clinical expertise into education sessions.
• Prepare annual self-development plans and professional goals with action steps.
• Support quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
