Job summary

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking an RN Clinical Educator to work with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role includes developing and delivering education to new and experienced staff in a 108-bed Level IV NICU recognized for high-risk infant care.

The Educator will assess competency, integrate evidence-based practices, and support quality and safety initiatives, with full-time hours Monday–Friday and some flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or BSN; enrollment in Master's program required.
• 2 years of progressive nursing experience in designated specialty; 3 months as a preceptor.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association; Virginia RN license or eligible for multi-state license.

Responsibilities

• Assess competency of new nursing staff using system tools and focus on patient safety.
• Integrate theory, evidence-based practice and clinical nursing expertise into education.
• Prepare annual self-development plans and professional goals; pursue opportunities for growth.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives across the organization.
