Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care across adult and neonatal populations. You will perform patient assessments, execute critical care procedures, and deliver newborn care in Labor and Delivery, aligning with best practices and safety standards.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy with active RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Experience in neonatal respiratory care or orientation with validated competencies required.
• Licensure/certifications required on hire: RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and respiratory care procedures.
• Delivers respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery.
• Analyzes and interprets blood gas results.
• Maintains equipment and educates patients and families in adult and neonatal care.

Required Hours: Weekend Option 7pm-7am

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
