Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform assessments and critical care procedures for adults and newborns, including Labor and Delivery. The role includes equipment maintenance, patient and family education, and coordination with care teams.

Required: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, current RRT, and certifications BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS. Weekend 7pm–7am, full-time position, focused on high-quality, compassionate care across diverse patients.

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
