Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments and deliver general and critical care respiratory services, including neonatal care in Labor and Delivery. The role involves blood gas analysis, equipment maintenance, and education for patients and families.

Weekend option hours include 7pm-7am, with responsibilities across adult and neonatal units. GST-certified clinicians with BCLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS are preferred on hire.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care or completion of department-specific orientation with competency validation required.

• Performs patient assessments and respiratory care procedures (general and critical care).
• Respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery.

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
