Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital, part of Piedmont Healthcare, seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient assessments, neonatal and adult respiratory care, and education for patients and families in labor and delivery and neonatal units.

This role requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, eligibility for licensure as an RRT, and certifications such as BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS, with weekend overnight hours 7pm–7am.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Previous working experience in neonatal respiratory care or successful orientation with validated competencies required.
• RRT license, BCLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and respiratory care procedures for adult and neonatal patients.
• Maintains and manages respiratory care equipment and provides education to patients and families.

Required Hours: Weekend Option 7pm-7am

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
